West Devon Riding Club would like to congratulate Stacie Harrison riding Dudley on their recent success at the Festival of the Horse. A brief report from Sarah Harrison ( Mum ! ) follows.......

" It was a long journey and quite an expensive weekend but we would definitely recommend it to anyone in the future as the championship was fantastic and it really is aimed at grass roots level and the standard of competitors was very mixed with all types and levels competing.

We had decided to go for the two days due to the distance and entered the showing classes on Saturday as a bit of fun however these turned out to be the  best bit for Stacie and Dudley where they pretty much swept the board by winning the M&M ridden, M&M WHP and Best Riding Club Horse or Pony and then went on to win the Working Championship- He's now got four fabulous sashes to remember the occasion!!

Sunday was the finals of the junior combined style riding test and jumping competition for which Stacie qualified at Duchy and then Colraine.  After the riding test Stacie was in 3rd place (only by 1.5%) but she managed to pull back some marks in the jumping and finally finished in second place overall so we were thrilled. "     See a Photo of Stacie on Dudley
