Show Jumping

The British Riding Club organises several different show jumping competitions for both Junior and Senior riders.

  • NOVICE AND INTERMEDIATE SUMMER SHOW JUMPING:
  • For both individual riders and teams of four riders. Riders jump two rounds. The second round is timed and these times are used to determine minor placings when faults cannot do this. If there is equality for first place after the second round, then there will be a jump off against the clock. The best three scores in each round will count for the total score.
  • NOVICE AND INTERMEDIATE WINTER SHOW JUMPING:
  • For teams of four riders only (there are no competitions for individuals).

FAQS

Hats and Body Protectors

These must be the current standard, details can be found below. They will be checked and tagged prior to the competition.   Hat Standards »

Saddle Cloths

Our teams will usually be provided with smart white saddle cloths embroidered in forest green. There are sometimes delays passing them between ourselves and being available to distribute them in time for people to warm up. If you are without a club saddle cloth please try to use a white one of your own (this is not essential, it just looks smart).
